Vampire Knight Chapter 12

Yuki is wanting to face and confront Zero. To Yuki there is no other way that she would want Kaname to drink her blood. No way. Yuki remembers Zero when they were younger on how he repeatedly scratch his neck to ease his disgust on his bite mark.



Yuki: it's painful
stop it

Yuki grabs Zero's arm forbidding him to hurt his neck.

Yuki: Zero you were hurt too
you are okay now
because i'll be holding you like this from now on

It was around that time that the three of them moved in to Cross school building. They were eating when they heard the tapping of the door. Yuki gets up to see who is it. It was Kaname. Seeing Kaname, Zero senses what he is and stoods up holding a knife, Zero moves forward to Kaname.



Zero: vampire

Kaname: slashing at me so suddenly
not so nice of you

Zero: shut up vampire
you smell just like that woman

Kaname: that woman
so you are Zero Kiryuu
i heard about you
i'm sorry about your family
but i have no intention of getting killed by you

Chairman appeases Zero and calms him

Chairman: you are mistaking the one to get revenge

Yuki points out Kaname's blood fresh from Zero's cuts on him

Kaname: it's nothing
it will heal soon
i am a vampire remember
it's not me who is feeling pain

That night Yuki after Kaname left. Yuki went to check Zero to apologize. She said that she should have told Zero about Kaname. Zero covered his face and cries. Yuki tries to hold his face but Zero slaps her hand away from him.

Zero: dont you dare touch me
with your hand that touched him

Yuki: Kaname is a kind vampire
he saved me from a terrible vampire

Zero: there must be something wrong with you
both Chairman and you

Outside

Kaname is fetched by a car. Inside Ichijou greets him.

Ichijou: welcome back Kaname
you are early
is your business done

Kaname: no i have decided to take care of it next time

Ichjou: but i didnt think you would come back getting hurt
blood is still on your wrist
here a wet tissue

Kaname: i met the boy who survived the incident a little while ago
as i thought the Chairman took him in
well i guess its natural

Ichijou: what are you jealous of him because he can stay by Yuki's side all the time

Kaname: i dont have the time for that
i'll be busy soon

Then after a while
The chairman made a strange proposal to found the night class for vampires.

Zero: what are you planning on doing
letting in those kind of creatures into this school

Kaname suddenly bolted in and interrupted them

Kaname: it is for the purpose of peaceful coexistence of vampires and humans
and educating young vampires to be moderate

Zero: this is ridiculous
its impossible that the vampires are really going to ant to live together with humans
how many times the bloody history have been covered up

Chairman: i want an end to it
because i lost someone too
just like you Zero

Zero: no
just because of that you have the right to let the beasts into a flock of sheep

Yuki: there's Zero's issue
Chairman you've already decided

Chairman: you have nothing to worry about both of you
Kuran will be in the night class
so the other vampires will be obedient
and thanks to him many have decided to come
if he betrays that's the end

Zero walks out and Yuki followed him.

Then by the next year the chairman put his plan into effect.
Yuki found out that the old dorm for teachers now belongs to the night class. Wanting to see Kaname, Yuki decided to take a look inside and there she saw the vampires. And to her surprise, they were all good looking. After all her wandering around the dorm Yuki got tired and falls asleep. Kaname spotted her lying on the stairs.



Seeing Yuki's neck Kaname is tempted to take a bite but decided to let it go. She carried Yuki. Yuki wakes up in a bedroom and realized that she was covered by Kaname's coat. She sees an open door and is shocked of what she saw.





Unknown to Yuki Kaname knew that she is watching and that Kaname's action is intended for her to see. She wants Yuki to run away.

As she hurried away from them Yuki trips and wounded her palm, the vampires had smelled it. Yuki sees Zero coming towards her. Zero grabs her and heads home.

Zero: they dont hesitate taking lives of others
they are just beasts in human forms
Kaname Kuran is just the same
you've known it too

Yuki: but Kaname saved my life
it's because of Kaname that I am living right this second

Zero: stop shaking
your miserable

From that time there's something that changed in Yuki. She realized that Kaname and her were different. It was the night she was made to know what fear once again. But there was something that didn't change. Yuki still likes Kaname.

Present time

Yuki falls asleep on the sofa bed dreaming about Kaname. Zero is concerned about her of getting a cold but when he got closer, he caught glimpse of her neck. Zero is again tempted and is panicking.



Zero notice that Kaname is watching him. Kaname enters the room.

KAname: you dont have to be taken aback
i have business with the chairman
i used to come uninvited all the time
remember
by the way i've never told you before
why I acquiesce to your existence have I
I know there's a risk for seeking peace in Kross school
that's why I did a lot of thinking
who could become a shield to Yuki in this place
you could never betray her
because you are under her obligation
