Vampire Knight Chapter 23

Kaname and the others were having a trip and Aidou refuse to come along with them. Yuki is outside the boys dormitory thinking of a way on how to approach Zero when Aido approaches her.

Seeing that Aidou is hitting on Yuki, Zero suddenly jumps out the window. He told Aidou to go back to his dorm but Aidou refuses and runs. Afterward Aidou is now on Yuki's place and is demanding non stop.

Meanwhile Kaname and his subordinates are planning to go to the Senate house to explain his side about him protecting Zero.

Aidou has eaten all the food that Zero prepared for them so Zero needs to cook more for them. While Zero cooks Yuki is watching him and Zero could not take it any longer.



Yuki: should i be so carefree
when Zero only has limited time left
is it okay for me to be like this



Zero told Yuki to just smile after that Yuki checks for Aidou and gave him a tablet.

Aidou blurts out to Yuki on why Kaname is treating her especially. So Yuki told Aidou about how she was saved by Kaname back then.

YUki: i think we have a very simple relationship

Aidou: this is what you believe no matter what

Yuki: sometimes i waiver
but i believe it
even if im betrayed its okay

Aidou lies back on the couch and accidentally kicked the plate on the center table. Yuki tried to clean the broken plate and has gotten a tiny prick on her finger. Zero stops her from cleaning it. Yuki stands up and offers her wounded finger to Zero to lick it. Zero grabs it and puts it in his mouth. Yuki felt his fangs. Zero then remove her finger from his mouth but Yuki said that Zero should not deny himself when he is clearly starving.
But Zero felt that its not Yuki's obligation to feed him. But to Yuki all she wanted is for Zero to survive and be able to smile again. And then Zero grabs her wrist and suck it.
To Yuki, she too dont know what Zero means to her all she know is that Zero's red eyes that is supposed to scary dont mind her. All she ever wanted was to look in that eyes.

Aidou has seen that scene and is wooried about Kaname. Aidou can relate to what Yuki said about being alright even if she is betrayed.

At the Senate Ichijou's father had overlooked what Kaname did on protecting Zero. Kaname had asked the Senate to not interfere with Cross Academy anymore.
