Vampire Knight Chapter 24

Zero is daydreaming in the class about when they were younger and how Yuki use to pat his head. His dream were interrupted when one of their classmates collapsed. Zero sees bite marks on her neck and decided to send her to the infirmary.

The incident was taken to Kaname's attention.

Chairman: the girl who fainted from anemia doesnt even remember who sucked her blood or even the fact that her blood was sucked
there is no doubt that the girl's memory was taken by a vampire
this means that the vampires in the night class are suspects

Kaname: the only ones that wouldnt have to rely on ritual magic as the hunters call it to erase a memory would be the noble class
the night class consists mostly of nobles

Chairman: i understand that you do not want to suspect your students but you are too lenient

Kaname: just to remind you
Zero is also a suspect
youre a rare sample of a vampire hunter who has become a vampire
i wouldnt be surprised if you had any special abilities

Zero: i dont recall having any special abilities

Kaname: maybe subconsciously attacked a human yearning for her blood

Yuki: even though Kaname does not like Zero i thought that you had accepted him
do you honestly think that Zero attacked that girl

Zero: you make it sound like i attacked her

Yuki: fine i will find out the real culprit
and prove that Zero is innocent

with that Yuki storms out grabbing Zero with her

Yuki: until you accept that Zero is innocent i will not speak to you Kaname

Chairman: wow this is the first time that Yuki has actually opposed Kaname

Next Scene

Zero: if youre going to make such face you shouldnt have even said anything to Kaname in the first place

Yuki: but recently Kaname has been acting harder and harder towards you

Zero: its always been like that

Yuki: but Zero isnt the one who did it
i believe in you
you'll be alright Zero

Zero: its too complicated
coming from someone whos full of regret

Yuki: do you think he hates me now

Zero: i dont think he hates you
not that i would know but
why dont you go back and take back what you said

Yuki: no Kaname is the one who is wrong
i will find the vampire who broke the school rules
then i will have Kaname apologize to Zero
i will spill a little bit of my blood
and become the bait
i'll go back to the victim again

But Zero does not even want Kaname to apologize to him. So he will just pretend that he heard what she asked about the victim.

When they arrived to the infirmary they found out that three vampires was there to investigate due to Kaname's order. They wondered about Aidou acting strange lately and that maybe he is the culprit.

Next Scene
Zero has woken up from a bad dream about Yuki dead and is swimming in her own pool of blood. Seeing Yuki, Zero embraces her tightly.

Meanwhile Kaname has finally found the culprit, it was a vampire who had liked the victim from the day class.

Zero is so glad that it was all a dream.
